Professor Kishan Devani BEM Honored at the 9th London Political Summit & Awards 2024

Professor Kishan Devani BEM has been awarded the “International Political Strategist & International Trade Envoy of the Year 2024” in recognition of his exceptional contributions to an international political strategy for heads of state and global trade. The accolade was presented during the 9th London Political Summit & Awards, where Professor Devani also served as the Chair, overseeing the prestigious event at the House of Commons.
The summit, from October 9th to 11th, gathered distinguished government officials, business leaders, policymakers, and legislative delegates worldwide, including Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, and Ghana. The event provided a platform to address pressing global issues and celebrated exemplary achievements in public service, political leadership, business excellence, and humanitarian work.
The proceedings began on October 9th with a parliamentary session hosted by Hon. Afzal Khan MP in the Select Committee room at Westminster Palace. Notable participants included Rt. Hon. Andrew Gwynne MP, who highlighted the importance of public health, Lord John Hannett OBE, and H.E. Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, who was a special guest speaker and award recipient.

Key figures in attendance also included Mr. Peter Fowler, CEO of Westminster Group; Hon. Abubakar Gumi from Nigeria; and ministers from Zambia such as Honourable Jacob Mwiimbu, Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security, and Hon. Douglas Syakalima, Minister of Education. Representatives from Belemaoil, including its President and Founder, Hon. Dr. Jack-Rich, were also present. Mr. Godson Azu, the event organizer, welcomed a delegation of special guests, panelists, and collaborators, setting the tone for meaningful discussions and engagements.
The summit honored the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, H.E. Pastor Patience Umo Eno, with a moment of silence led by Hon. Afzal Khan MP and Rt. Hon. Andrew Gwynne MP. This tribute reflected the shared sentiments of the attendees in acknowledging her recent passing.
Prominent attendees also included the Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Dr. Alistair Soyode, Chairman of Bentv London, and representatives from the Sierra Leone High Commission, including Amb. Dr. Morie Manyah, the High Commissioner, and Amb. Yvonne King, the Deputy High Commissioner.
